St Louis Cardinals -1.5 +107
The Cards host the DBacks in the finale of this 4 games series. The Cards have lost the last 2 games after taking the opening game of the series. The Cards bats have been silent the last two games scoring a combined 2 runs, today they face the soft tossing Z. Davies who sports and ERA close to 5.50. I like the Cards bats to wake up today and put several runs on the board and even the series at 2 games apiece.
Kansas City Royals +174
The Royals and Yanks faceoff in the finale of this 3 game series, the Yanks are winners of 8 straight and look to sweep the Royals. We have L. Severino versus D. Lynch on the mound and both pitchers are sporting an ERA under 3.50 and have looked good to start the season. Lynch is young and has a live arm and has clearly shown that he is more comfortable pitching at Kaufman Stadium as opposed to on the road and his home road splits are pretty glaring. I will back Lynch to avoid the sweep versus the Yanks today.
Detroit Tigers +221
The Tigers face the Dodgers for the finale of this 3 games series, the Tigers surprised the Dodgers as +200 dogs yesterday and I’m going back to them again today in another upset. Tigers starter E. Rodriguez is no slouch and don’t think he should be a +200 dog versus any team in the league, even the Dodgers. We’ve seen him shut down big lineups in the past like the Yankees and Blue Jays and can easily see him doing it versus the Dodgers. I can even see the Dodgers resting left handed bats like Freeman, Bellinger and Muncy to avoid the left on left matchup. If that is the case the Dodgers lineup is not significantly stronger than that of the Tigers. I like the Tigers at this price.
