The Guardians look to rebound tonight in G2 of this series after losing the opener 8-3 last night. It will be P. Battenfield versus M. Clevinger on the mound, neither of these starters has had much success to this point of the season. Battenfield hasn't won a start yet while posting an ERA of 4.45 while Clevinger has won some games but his ERA is slightly worse at 4.79. Battenfield has run into bad luck as the Guardians haven't provided him with much run support to this point, that could change tonight as Clevinger has proven to be vey hittable this season and D. Iassogna is behind the plate, the home team is 1-6 in games he's umpired. Give me the Guardians here aa a dog on the road.

Tampa Rays/NY Mets O9 -101

The Rays and Mets play G2 of this series when D. Fleming faces K. Senga on the mound. There are many factors that warrant plying the over here. Let's start with the fact that both pitchers have a very high WHIP, 1.39 for Fleming and 1.51 for Senga showing that there will be plenty of opportunities with men on base. Fleming has only 17 K in 31 plus innings showing that many balls will be put in play. J. Nelson is behind the plate and the over is 5-2 in the 7 games he's umpired. Finally the Rays offense is on fire now having scored 5 runs or more in each of their last 5 games. I like the over here.

Seattle Mariners/Boston Red Sox O9.5 -111

I made the mistake of taking the under between these two teams last night as both starters were out of the game after the 5th inning and there were already 9 runs scored. Tonight we have 2 starters that have been mediocre at best on the season in M. Gonzales and B. Bello. It almost feels like both teams know they need to score runs when Gonzales and Bello are on the mound as the two have received a tremendous amount of run support from their teams. The Red Sox avg 8 runs per game in Bello's starts while the Mariners avg 6 runs per game in Gonzales's starts. Expect another high scoring affair between these 2 teams.
