Winnipeg Jets -.5 +115 (regulation)
The Jets host the Wild tonight; the Jets really need to start winning games if they plan on making the playoffs, they currently sit in the 8th spot and what was once a comfortable lead over the 9 seed Flames has trickled down to 4 points. The Wild will be on a B2B and most probably starting MA Fleury in goal; Fleury hasn’t been horrible this season but hasn’t been great either, the Jets counter with C. Hellebuyck and that provides them with an edge in goal. I think the Jets will be fresher for this game and like them to take it in regulation.
Vancouver Canucks -.5 -155 (regulation)
The Canucks host the Ducks tonight; the Canucks continue to look decent of late. The issue for the Canucks this season has always been in goal as their offense on most nights has done what is needed to win games. With the return of T. Demko, the Canucks actually look like a team that can win games on a regular basis. Meanwhile the Ducks continue to struggle and will be on a B2B and they’ve had zero success in this spot as they’re 1-9 in their last 10 B2Bs. Expect the Canucks to continue to play well and win this game in regulation.
Miami Heat +110
The Cavs are in Miami to face the Heat; the Heat are as healthy as they’ve been all season with only K. Lowry as a player of significance out for this game. As good as the Cavs have been this season, they’re aren’t very good on the road at 13-19 and that will be an issue for them come playoff time if they need to steal a game to beat the Bucks or Celtics in a series. The Heat are a good home team at 21-12 and probably shouldn’t be a dog on their home court to a team with a losing record on the road. I will back J. Butler and the Heat to take this game.
