The Stars host the Flames tonight in Dallas, I'm a little perplexed with this line considering the way both teams have been playing, the Flames have lost 5 straight and 8 of their last 10 while the Stars have won 3 straight and 4 of their last 5. The Stars are a very good home team at 17-8-6-2 while the Flames are average on the road at 12-10-8-2. The only thing we can say that the Flames have going for them is that they've won 7 of the last 10 meetings versus the Stars, but there is no way I can back the Flames tonight the way they're playing.

LA Kings -145

The Caps are in LA to face the Kings tonight. Both teams come into this game on winning streaks, the Caps have won 2 in a row while the Kings have won 3 in a row. Like I previously mentioned, the Kings made solid acquisitions at the trade deadline to shore up their defense and goaltending and that will definitely increase their chances of going far in the playoffs. The Caps were sellers at the deadline and their play is bound to decline going forward as they're replacing everyday NHLers with AHLers. I like the Kings here on home ice to take this game.

Vancouver Canucks -108

The Canucks host the Preds tonight in a game between 2 teams without playoff aspirations. The Canucks have actually played well since the return of T. Demko in goal having won games versus the Maple Leafs and Stars and forcing the Wild to OT before losing. The Preds have won 4 of their last 5 games but have feasted on the slouches of the NHL with wins over the Sharks, Coyotes and Blackhawks. Tonight on the road versus the Canucks will not be as easy, give me the Canucks to win here.
