Both teams are on a B2B with different result, TB needed OT to beat the Red Wings in Detroit while the Isles got pummeled by the Bruins 6-3. B2B don’t seem to bother or affect the Bolts as they’re 7-0 on no rest so far this season, the same can’t be said for the Isles as they’re 4-7, even worse the Isles are 1-3 on the back end of a B2B when they lose the night prior. The Islanders have not done well in the role of a home dog going 1-9 in their last 10. The Bolts will have A. Vasilevskiy in goal this afternoon as B. Elliott started yesterday meaning the Isles will have an even harder go at it to score. I like the Bolts to win by multiple goals.

The Panthers visit the Leafs in Toronto. We have another matchup with both teams on a B2B tonight, again with different results; the Panthers came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Senators 4-3 in a shootout, while the Leafs lost 4-2 on the road to the lowly Canadiens. These 2 teams have not played each other in 2 full calendar years, with the last matchup being February 2020. The Panthers made some great additions at the trade deadline in acquiring C. Giroux & B. Chiarot that will definitely help them down the stretch for a long playoff run. I think the Panthers are the better team and to get them at plus money is a bonus.

We have a WTA tennis play here from the Miami Open. American J. Pegula meets E. Rybakina from the Kazakhstan; both players play their best tennis on hard court. These 2 players have never faced each other in the past and both have similar records year to date with Pegula at 8-6 and Rybakina at 11-4, all matches were played on hard court so far. There isn’t much discrepancy between these 2 players talent wise and I like the upset possibility here for Pegula and she will have the home crowd cheering her on this afternoon.
