The Avs host the Penguins tonight; we have teams going in opposite directions right now with the Penguins having lost 4 straight and the Avs having won 6 straight. The Penguins offense has dried up of late scoring a combined 3 goals over their last 3 games and their goaltending has been pretty bad for a while now as they’ve surrendered 18 goals during their 4 game losing streak. The Avs offense is rolling having scored 5 goals plus in 4 of their last 5 games and with the current form of the Penguins goaltending I do not think they will slow them down tonight.

Toronto Raptors -9 -106

The Raptors host the Pacers tonight in a game with playoff implications for both sides. The Raptors are looking to possibly get out of the 7-10 matchups if they can put a nice run together over the last month while the Pacers are looking to grab a spot to be in the 7-10 matchups. NBA basketball is a screwed up sport, a team like the Pacers which was injury depleted goes into Milwaukee and beats the Bucks straight up by 16 points as a 12 point dog and then some injured players return and they follow that up with a 20 point home loss to the 76ers and a loss to the Hornets when they were favored. You just can’t make sense of it. The Raptors haven been playing better of late and think they can cover the number versus the Jekyll and Hyde Pacers.

Portland Trailblazers/Utah Jazz O234 -106

The Jazz host the Trailblazers tonight in a game where points should be plentiful. Both teams rank in bottom tier in defensive efficiency as the Jazz are ranked #24 and the Blazers ranked #27. The Blazers are out of the playoff picture and defense has been an afterthought for them for some time now, as the over has hit in 4 of their last 5 games and the same can be said for the Jazz as the over has cashed in 7 of their last 8. Expect this to be an up tempo game with plenty of points scored and little defense played.
