The Rangers are in Pittsburgh to face the Pens this afternoon, the Rangers are off a bad loss 6-3 to the Lightning while the Pens finally ended a 4 game losing streak by beating the Sharks 6-3. With that being said, if the Pens couldn't beat the worst team in the league, they would have hit a new all time low. I think the Pens go back to losing this afternoon, as the Rangers are the better side, having being playing better and have dominated this series winning 6 of the last 10 meetings. The Rangers cannot slip up here as they try to stay ahead of the Canes who are only 4 points behind them for 1st place in the Metro division. I expect the Rangers to be ready to play this afternoon and take care of business in regulation. 

Carolina Hurricanes -125

The Leafs host the Canes tonight in what should be an exciting match between two really good teams. The Leafs have confirmed I. Samsonov as their starter while the Canes look to be going with P. Kochetkov. The Canes made some serious acquisitions at the deadline making them one of the stronger teams heading towards the playoffs, this will be by far the strongest team they have in years heading down the stretch and HC R. Brind'Amour will need to get this done or he may be looking for a new job as it been years of playoff disappoint in Carolina. The Leafs are also playing well but are can be easily outplayed by the stronger teams in the league and I see that happening here tonight. I like the Canes to win on the road. 

Vancouver Canucks -1.5 +119

Tonight will be the 2nd to last game of the Caps 5 game west coast road trips, they sit at 1-2 through 3 games. Tonight doesn't get any easier for them as they play one of the NHL's best in the Canucks. The Canucks do not lose often on home ice as is evident with their 21-6-4 record and are off an embarrassing 4-3 OT home loss to the Avs in which they lead 3-0. The Caps seem to have left the offense back in DC as they've scored a combined 4 goals on this road trip, that clearly will not get it done versus one of the best teams in the NHL in total goals against. The Canucks will get back on the winning track tonight versus the Caps that are struggling to score goals.
