LA Kings/St Louis Blues U8 -115
The Kings visit the Blues tonight as they embark on a 3 game road trip, they will also have games versus the Blackhawks and Stars after this. The Blues are returning home from a road trip in which they went 2-3 and could be in a let down spot as most teams are when they return from a long road trip. Goals have been hard to come by for both sides as they Kings have gone to the under in 7 of their last 10 games while the Blues have gone under in 6 of 10 with 3 other games pushing the game total. We should see C. Talbot versus J. Binnington in goal tonight and both have been playing well this season. I like a low scoring game as I expect the Kings to really limit the Blues scoring chances.
Vancouver Canucks -109
Two hot teams meet tonight when the Avs visit the Canucks, both sides have won 4 straight. The Avs will be on a B2B after disposing of the Flames by a score of 6-2. The Canucks are well rested having not played since March 9th when they shut out the Jets 5-0. The Canucks will be without #1 netminder T. Demko, however, his backup C. DeSmith has played well this season and stopped all 10 shots he faced when he replaced Demko on Saturday and gave up only 1 game in his prior start to that. I understand that the Avs are one of the best offensive teams in the NHL, however, the Canucks are a top 5 defensive teams when it comes to goals against on the season. I like the Canucks with the last line change being on home side to create the matchups they want. Anthony's NHL model also supports this play on the Canucks with a 5% EV.
LA Lakers -2.5 -105
The Lakers are in Sactown to face the Kings tonight, the Kings will be on a B2B and 3rd game in 4 nights after disposing of the Bucks in huge fashion last night 129-94. The Lakers are well rested having not played since Sunday when they beat the T Wolves 120-109. This is a big game for both sides as both currently sit outside the top 6 in the Western Conference and look to get out of the play in scenario. The Kings are a .5 game behind the 6th seed Suns while the Lakers are 2.5 games behind. These two played a week ago, when the Kings embarrassed the Lakers on their home court 130-120 and I like Lebron AD, and R. D'Angelo to return the favor and beat the Kings on their home court tonight.
