The Senators are in Calgary to face the Flames. I don’t know what the infatuation is to continue making the Flames big favorites over anyone. All they have proven throughout the course of this season is that they outshot their opponents on a regular basis, however, they cannot put the puck in the net. The last I checked you don’t get points in the NHL for effort. The Flames have burnt us several times this season in spots were you would have expected them to dominate and they have failed way too often. The Sens shouldn’t be this big of a dog and a I will back them here.

Minnesota Wild -.5 -123 (regulation)

The Wild are in Phoenix to face the Coyotes in a game where both teams will be on a B2B. The Wild beat the Sharks 5-2 while the Coyotes played a tough game in Colorado but lost 3-2 in OT. The Coyotes haven’t had much success on B2B this year going 2-5-1 and have lost 8 of the last 10 meetings versus the Wild. F. Gustavsson is in goal for the Wild and he’s having a Vezina caliber season. I like the Wild to get the job done in regulation tonight.

Nashville Predators/Anaheim Ducks U6 -111

The Preds are in Anaheim tonight to face the Ducks; the Preds are off an impressive win over the Kings 2-1 last night. The Preds have won 3 of their last 5 games and still have slim playoffs hopes if they can put a run together over the next 10 games. The Ducks are around the basement of the league and but have played better of late due to the return of J. Gibson in goal. I like this game to stay under the total as both teams have had issues putting the puck in the net of late and their goaltending has been solid as well.
