This Braves look to sweep the Phillies tonight when I. Anderson faces A. Nola. Nola has been lights out over his last 4 starts; however, one must realize that he hasn’t faced any elite offensive clubs, ha faced the Nats, Marlins, Brewers and a depleted Padres lineup. Tonight, he faces a tougher task in the Braves, add to that the Phillies offense has somewhat wilted since B. Harper broke his thumb last weekend versus the Padres. I like the Braves to break out the brooms tonight and sweep the Phillies with a strong pitching performance from I. Anderson.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 +147

The Rays are in Toronto to face the Jays for 4 games over the weekend, it will be a bullpen game for the Rays as they send M. Wisler to the mound to face Y. Kikuchi. It will be Kikuchi’s first start since Jays manager C. Montoya called him out via the media this past weekend after another terrible start. I’d like to think that Kikuchi has pride and took exception to those comments and pitches a good game tonight. The Blue Jays should be able to score runs versus the Rays bullpen which hasn’t been solid this season as in years past.

San Diego Padres +120

The Padres visit the Dodgers for a weekend series in LA; it will be J. Musgrove facing M. White on the mound. Musgrove looks to bounce back after his first bad start of the season last time out versus the Phils when he gave up 6 runs in 6 innings. M. White for the Dodgers has lost his last 3 starts while being mediocre at best on the mound in 2 of 3 starts versus the Braves and Pirates. The Padres are 7-0 on the road in Musgrove’s starts this season, as he’s posted an ERA of 1.72 and a sub 1.00 WHIP. I like the Padres to take G1 of this series.
