The Tigers look to end their two game losing streak tonight when C. Mize faces S. Schwellenbach on the mound. Neither of these starters has pitched well this season as Mize’s road ERA sits at 6.12 on the season but with the good run support he’s received, the Tigers have actually won 4 of his 6 road starts. Scwellenbach has made 3 starts for the Braves losing all 3 as he hasn’t pitched very well to the tune of a 6.32 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. T. Randazzo is behind home plate and the road team has faired very well with him this season with a 10-4 record, I like the Tigers here as a nice dog with plenty of runs scored.

Chicago Cubs -110 1st 5 innings

The Cubs look to even up this three game series at a game apiece tonight when J. Steele faces L. Webb on the mound. The Giants won a seesaw game by a score of 7-6 last night, however, with two quality starters here, I don’t expect a high scoring game. Steele has really pitched well over his last 4 starts allowing a total of 4 ER over 25 IP but the Cubs have found a way to lose 3 of those games due to their faulty bullpen. L. Webb and Giants continue to struggle in his road starts as his road ERA 4.06 is two full points higher than his home ERA, the Giants have lost 6 of his 8 road starts. I do not trust the Cubs bullpen at the moment so I will back them for the 1 st innings as Steele will still be pitching.
