Cincinnati Reds +133 & Cincinnati Reds/Milwaukee Brewers O7.5 -110

The Reds and Brewers start a three game weekend series between NL Central teams, the Brewers continue to have a substantial lead over the 2nd place Cards by 6.5 games. The Reds look to gain some ground this weekend as they sit in 3rd place 7 games behind the Brewers. It will be H. Greene versus F. Peralta on the mound, Peralta has struggled a bit of late sporting a 4.62 ERA over his last 7 starts with the Brewers losing four of them. Greene has pitched slightly better, however, his ERA is hovering around 4 in his last 7 starts. Peralta has made 5 home starts this season and all 5 have gone over the total. The Reds have won 8 of their last 10 and have scored plenty of runs in the process and Greene has pitched well on the road this season with a 2.97 ERA. I like the underdog Reds here and over the total as I think 7.5 is too low the way these offenses can rake.

Detroit Tigers +101

The Tigers are in Houston to face the Astros this weekend, it will be T. Skubal on the mound versus H. Brown. Skubal continues his Cy Young season winning 5 of his last 6 starts while sporting a 1.95 ERA. This will also be his 2nd start of the season versus the Astros as he neutralized them for 2 ER over 6 1/3 IP in a Tigers 8-2 win a month ago. Brown has been pitching better of late, however, is still having issues putting the Astros in a position to win as the Astros have still lost 4 of his last 6 starts. Skubal has been filthy on the mound all season and the Astros offense isn't hot right now having not scored more than 3 runs in a game in three straight. I like the underdog Tigers with the better pitcher.
