Atlanta Braves +105
I'm going back to the Braves today as the Rays can't seem to get it going. The Rays are up to 7 straight losses and their offense continues to struggle as they only scored 1 run last night. They have now only scored 8 runs over their last 5 games. The Braves' starter B. Elder has a miniscule road ERA of 1.62 this season in 7 starts and should be able to continue his dominance with the Rays lineup that is struggling. The Braves know Eflin well from his years with the Phillies and should be able to score runs today. We're getting another team that is playing better baseball as an underdog!
Chicago Cubs +119
Today is the rubber game between the Cubs and Yanks when K. Hendricks faces D. German. German went back to his old self in his last start after throwing hit perfect game versus the A's. He gave up 9 hits and 3 runs in less than 5 innings, if not for a late inning collapse by the O's bullpen the Yanks would have lost that game. After a rough start to the season, Hendricks has really come around of late, the Cubs have won 5 of his last 7 starts while he has an ERA of 2.49. I like the underdog Cubs with the better pitcher on the mound.
Seattle Mariners -1.5 +138
The Mariners look to take 3 of 4 games from the Astros today when L. Gilbert faces B. Bielak on the mound. Gilbert hasn't been great this season compared to last but has had starts where he's performed very well. Bielak for the Astros has been solid this season at home but has been prone to throw a stinker here and there. The Mariners have provided Gilbert with a ton of run support on the road this season providing him with 5 runs or more in 7 of his 10 road starts. I like for that to continue today and the Mariners to win by multiple runs.
