Atlanta Braves -145
The misery for the Rays continues as they've now lost 6 straight and are no longer the best team in baseball. That title belongs to their opponents the Atlanta Braves at 59-28. The Rays offense continues to struggle to put up runs as they lost 2-1 last night and they have now only scored 7 runs over their last 4 games. Today will be any easier as they face S. Strider, Strider has only given up 4 ER over his last 3 starts, I like him to dominate the struggling Rays today.
Oakland A's/Boston Red Sox U9 +109
The A's try even up this series today when P. Blackburn faces J. Paxton, Paxton has pitched great at Fenway this season sporting an ERA of 1.69 but the Red Sox are 0-3 in his home start because he cannot get any run support. Blackburn has been serviceable this season but clearly not in his All Star form from the past. Also supporting the under play here is the the fact that P. Cuzzi is behind home plate, he has a larger than normal strike zone which really benefits the pitchers. The under is 13-2 in game with him behind home plate.
Seattle Mariners/Houston Astros O7 -116
Tonight is G3 of this 4 game series between the Mariners and Astros, it will be B. Woo versus F. Valdez on the mound. From a pitcher's perspective you would have to definitely feel the under is the play here, however, there is one thing that making me go the other way here and that is P. Hoberg behind home plate. The over is 11-3 in games with him behind home plate and big name pitchers were going in those over, just to name a few here is the list: C. Kershaw, P. Lopez, B. Snell, S. Bieber & Y. Darvish. Only one game with Hoberg behind the plate has finished with under 7 runs this season. I like the over here.
