The Reds try to make it two in a row versus the Yanks tonight when A. Abbott faces C. Rodon on the mound. Abbott is having a nice season for the Reds with a 7-6 record and a 3.41 ERA, he’s pitched five straight games of 3 ER or less with the Reds winning four of those games. After a very good start to the season, Rodon is in a complete free fall of late, over his last three starts he’s given up 20 ER in only 13 2/3 IP with the Yanks losing all three games by 4 runs or more. I like the Reds to take advantage of a struggling Rodon to win this game and it to go over the total.  

LA Angels/Oakland A’s U8.5 -110

The Angels and A’s continue their three game series tonight as D. Daniel will face J. Estes on the mound, last night was a high scoring affair as the A’s took it 7-5. I do foresee that kind of result between two teams that struggle to score runs with regularity. Daniel will be making his 2 nd career MLB start, he was very effective versus the Tigers pitching 8 scoreless innings in his first. Estes has enjoyed quite a bit of success pitching at home powering the A’s to a 3-0 record in his 3 home starts with a 2.79 ERA.I see both starters have success here in a game that will be low scoring.
