The A’s are in Seattle for G3 of this 4 game series, it will be P. Blackburn versus G. Kirby on the mound. The A’s have been a total mess this season with a few bright spots in P. Blackburn and F. Montas on the mound, the rest of the team almost looks like it should be in AAA. Blackburn has been spectacular on the road posting an ERA of 1.44 and the A’s have actually won 7 of his 9 starts. Kirby the Mariners starter is having a rough go at it in Seattle posting a 5.54 ERA with a losing record at home. I like Blackburn to get a win for the A’s.

Boston Red Sox -1.5 +130

The Red Sox look to bounce back from yesterday loss to the Cubs 6-5. It will be J. Winckowski versus A. Mills on the mound; Mills will be making only his 2nd start of the season, the first didn’t go to well as the Cards roughed him up for 5 runs in less than 3 innings of work. Winckowski has been more than serviceable since being added to the Red Sox rotation winning 3 of his 4 starts. I like the Red Sox bats to take advantage of a rusty A Mills and score several runs today.

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 +152

The Phillies rallied from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Cardinals 5-3 last night in a game where the Cards had the clear advantage on the mound. Today the roles are reversed were the Phillies have a clear advantage on the mound in K. Gibson. Gibson has been solid at home this season with an ERA of 3.21 and the Phils winning 6 of his 8 starts. M. Liberatore hasn’t had much success on the road for the Cards since being added to the rotation with his ERA of 9.00 over 2 starts. The Phils have gotten the offense to wake up since Harper’s injury scoring 14 runs on Thursday and 5 more yesterday. I like the offense to keep rolling and the Phils to win by multiple runs.
