Also Allen has been exceptional on the road this season with an ERA of 2.55 which has allowed the Guardians to win 6 of his 7 road starts. For the Sox, Clevinger is sporting a 2.52 home ERA and also excelled in his only previous start (6 IP & 2 ER) versus the Guardians. What also helps the under here is B. Knight behind home plate, the under is 6-1 in American league games umpired by him this season.

The Yanks look to rebound from last night's offensive no show when they lost 1-0 to the O's. Today it will be C. Schmidt versus T. Wells on the mound, both starters will be making their 3rd start versus their opposing club. Wells has not has much success versus the Yanks as he was hit around in 2 of the 3 starts, while Schmidt has faired a little better versus the O's. We're clearly going to see more runs scored in tonight's game than we did yesterday and I think the Yanks will continue their hitting success versus Wells.

Chicago Cubs even

The hottest team in baseball the Cubs try to extend their winning streak to 8 games tonight when J. Taillon takes on A. Wainwright. Wainwright had his best start of the season last time out when he gave up 2 ER over 5 innings, that should speak volumes on the type of season he's having. Taillon is starting to pitch better of late as he's given up only 4 ER in 20 IP over his last 3 starts. It's a real nice thing to see considering how poorly he had pitched up to that point. The Cards are looking to clear house at the deadline coming up and the Cubs are playing their best ball of the season, give me the Cubs at even money.
