The Cards and Cubs play G2 of their series this afternoon when J. Flaherty faces J. Steele. Both these pitchers have faced their opposing teams this season with relative success, Flaherty pitched 5 innings is a 6-4 win earlier in the season while Steele has won his 2 starts versus the Cards limiting them to 4 runs over 12 innings. I like both starters to limit the scoring opportunities and having R. Kulpa behind the plate doesn't hurt as when he's umpired NL games the under is 5-2 on the season.

Baltimore Orioles/Tampa Bay Rays U8 -106

The O's and Rays continue their 4 game series tonight when K. Bradish faces Z. Eflin. The splits for both starters indicate that we should get a low scoring game, Eflin has been super efficient at home this season with a 2.34 home ERA. He's shut down really good offensive teams in the Braves, Phillies and Jays to name a few. Bradish for his part has been really dominant since mid June, his ERA over his last 6 starts is 1.41. I expect a similar result as last night in the 4-3 to 3-2 range between these 2 teams.

LA Angels -1.5 +113

The Angels welcome the Pirates to LA for a weekend series, it will be J. Oviedo versus S. Ohtani. There is one thing we can say about Oviedo and that is the Pirates batter haven't provided him with much offensive support of late. The Pirates have lost all of his 7 last starts scoring a combined total of 14 runs over that span. Even the best of the best pitchers cannot get W's with that type of support. The Angels are coming off a sweep of the Yanks and are plating well and I like them to win by multiple runs behind a strong start from Ohtani.
