Nashville Predators even
The Preds visit the Golden Knights in Vegas. These are two of the hottest teams in the NHL right now with Nashville being 8-1-1 and Vegas 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. Vegas will be short two of the best offensive players in Max Paccioretty & Mark Stone and most likely their starting goalie in Robin Lehner. Nashville is one the best defensive teams in the league as they rank in the top 10 in goals allowed. Combine these two facts and we have the making for a road win for the Preds tonight.
Philadelphia Flyers +117
The Flyers visit the Ducks tonight. The expected goalies are Carter Hart and John Gibson and their GAA and save percentage are almost identical, so there is no clear advantage to either team. The Ducks have now lost 4 straight and are missing their top 3 centers in Trevor Zegras, Adam Henrique and longtime captain Ryan Getzlaf. That is just too much talent and leadership to replace. This is a matchup that has been dominated by the Flyers as they’re 4-0 in the last four contests and I expect it to continue tonight.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons -121
The Noles faces the Demon Deacons in an ACC matchup tonight. This Leonard Hamilton Noles squad isn’t that of years past that yielded NBA players like Scottie Barnes, Patrick Williams, Terrance Mann & Jonathan Isaac. There is no real star on this squad and it shows with their 7-4 record. The Deacons on the other hand have great shooters in Alondes Williams, Daivien Williams and Isaiah Mucius and add junior forward Jake LaRavia to them and they have a clear advantage over the Noles. This line is way too low in my opinion, I will take them on the money line for extra insurance.
Rutgers Scarlett Knights +146
The Michigan Wolverines visit the Knights in Rutgers for a Big 10 matchup. The Knights own a 7-1 home record and have beaten some good teams at home in Purdue and Clemson. They’re led by seniors Ron Harper Jr and Geo Baker and getting excellent contributions by sophomore center Clifford Omoruyi. Omuruyi will be able to bang down low and neutralize Hunter Dickinson. The Wolverines are a young squad and that isn’t something that translates to road victories in college basketball. This is a very winnable home game for Rutgers and I expect them to come out victorious in this matchup.
