The Scarlet Knights host the Ohio St Buckeyes this afternoon at Jersey Mike’s Arena in a Big 10 matchup. The Buckeyes are reeling off a home loss to the Golden Gophers of all teams that sit dead last in the conference. They now have to travel to Jersey and face the Knights one of the best home teams (10-2) in the Big 10. The Knights are a squad with plenty of experienced players in C. Spencer, C. McDonnell, P. Mulcahy and C. Omoruyi and I just don’t see the Buckeyes going on the road and taking this one, I like the Knights here to defend their home court.

Xavier Musketeers -165

The Musketeers take on the Marquette Golden Eagles in a Big East matchup this afternoon; the winner of this game will move into the lead of the Big East Conference by half a game, which in theory is a nice thing but there are still many conference games remaining for it to have any real significance. The Musketeers come into this game having won ten straight and are a senior laden squad with S. Boum, J. Nunge, A. Kunkel & Z. Freemantle. The Eagles weren’t expected to be this strong prior to the start of the season buy S. Smart has them playing well; I just think they’re in a tough spot on the road versus and an experienced team, I like the Musketeers here.

Carolina Hurricanes -.5 -155 (regulation)

The road trip from hell ends for the Canucks tonight in Carolina, it is the last leg of a five game trip where the Canucks have yet to win a game, however, they have played really tough teams in the Jets, Penguins, Lightning and Panthers. It doesn’t get any easier tonight versus possibly one of the best teams in the league; the Canucks haven’t made things easy for themselves surrendering 4 goals or more in all four losses. Both teams will be on a B2B and the Canes are a perfect 6-0 in that spot this season, the Canucks have lost five straight games to the Canes in Carolina and I expect it to go to six today.
