NY Islanders -1.5 +200 & NY Islanders/St Louis Blues O6 -112
The Islanders are in St Louis to face the Blues tonight. The Islanders will be playing their second game of their mini 2 game road trip, they needed OT to beat the Penguins 5-4 two days ago. The Blues will be heading out on the road after this one after hosting 4 straight home games, they haven't looked great since beating the Oilers 6-3 in the first game of this homestand losing their last 2 to the Preds and Leafs by multiple goals. The Blues have lost 3 of their last 4 with all 3 losses being by 2 goals or more as neither J. Binnigton nor J. Hofer has been great of late. S. Varlamov is getting the start for the Isles and he isn't performing any better than Binnigton or Hofer as he's given up 3 goals in 2 straight starts. I do believe both sides will score here, but like the Isles to get a lot more pucks in the net than the Blues.
Tampa Bat Lightning -.5 -121 (regulation)
The Caps are in Tampa to face the Lightning tonight, both sides are in coming into the game from different directions, the Caps have won 2 straight beating the Habs and Devils while the Bolts have lost 2 straight versus the Panthers and Sens. The Panthers loss was a bad one that ended in a 9-2 score. A. Vasilevskiy has not looked good at all in those losses, the only bright spot to look at in this contest is that the Caps are one of the weakest offensive teams in the NHL at 2.48 goals per game this season. This should make it easier for Vasilevskiy to try and get back on track. From an offensive standpoint the Bolts are doing fine as Kucherov, Point and company continue to do their thing. I like the Bolts in regulation versus the Caps that have issues generating offense on a regular basis.
