The Rangers visit the Lightning tonight in Tampa. Oh how the Lightning are missing Andrei Vasilevskiy. He and backup Brian Elliott are still on the covid list and Tampa is on their 3rd & 4th string goalies and its’ been brutal their last two games giving up 4 goals to a Montreal team that was practically rostering an AHL team and Florida last night that scored 9 times. Unless either Vasilevskiy or Elliott is cleared to play just before the game I just don’t understand this line. I like the Rangers here.

The Oilers are in Jersey for afternoon game versus the Devils. After a somewhat strong start to the season the Devils have regressed quite a bit lately as they’re 2-7-1 in their last 10 games. A huge factor has been their goaltending, no matter who the Devils have started between the pipes saves have been hard to come by. The Oilers were hit by the injury bug for a small stretch but the majority of those players are back. When your goaltending is suspect the last thing you need a visit from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. I expect the Oilers to light up the lamp often this afternoon.

Alabama Crimson Tide/Cincinnati Bearcats O57 -111

The Tide and Bearcats face off in the Cotton Bowl this afternoon. Both these offenses are electric as they averaged over 430 yards per game. Both defenses are ranked high; however, some may question that of Cincinnati’s as outside of Notre Dame and Houston, their opponents were nothing to write home about. For Bama, any offense they faced that was somewhat prolific was able to score a minimum of 24 points against them. Cincy is a Cinderella story everyone is rooting for, they may not win this game but I’m convinced they will be able to put up points versus this Bama D.
