Calgary Flames -1.5 +221

The Kings host the Flames tonight in LA. The Flames have been very streaky of late, in their last 10 games; they started with a 3 game win streak, followed that with a 5 game losing streak and now have won 2 in a row. The Kings come into this game having won 3 straight and 6 of 10, however, have taken advantage of playing bad teams, 5 of those 6 wins were versus the Ducks, Sharks, Coyotes, Habs and Senators. The Kings are projected to start J. Quick as they’re on the front end of a B2B as they play the Coyotes tomorrow on the road. Quick hasn’t started a game in over 10 days as it looks like P. Copley has taken the number one role from him, Quick hasn’t been good all season and should show some rust having not played in a while. Give me the Flames -1.5.

Minnesota Wild -1.5 +158

The Wild are in San Jose tonight to face the Sharks. The Wild come into this game winners’ of 6 straight and 8 of their last 10, while the Sharks have lost 3 straight and 7 of their last 10 and their 3 wins were versus the Coyotes, Ducks and Habs; which aren’t really the cream of the crop of the NHL. The Wild will be on a B2B after beating the Ducks 4-1 last night but B2B don’t seem to bother them as their 4-0 this season in this spot, plus the Wild will be looking for revenge for the home loss they suffered to the Ducks on Nov 13th. I like the Wild here by multiple goals.

New York Jets -130

The Jaguars are in New York to face the J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets! It is an important game for both teams as the Jets are fighting for a Wild Card spot while the Jaguars are possibly looking to take AFC South title from the reeling Titans. The one advantage the Jaguars have is that their playoff chances are still alive with a loss, whereas, the Jets are probably done. Going on the road on a short week is never easy and the Jaguars will also have to try and win on the road without their #1 pick in LB T. Walker and DT F. Fatukasi whom we reported as out for tonight’s game. The Jaguars are already a team that doesn’t pressure the opposing QB much and now are missing 2 players that account for close to 20% of their total sacks. I like the Jets and their strong defense to win this game straight up.
