Boston Bruins -1.5 +138

The Panthers are in Beantown to face the Bruins tonight. The Bruins have yet to lose in regulation this season on home ice (16-0-0-2), and I don’t think the Panthers will be the team to end that streak tonight. The Bruins had some hick ups of late losing to both the Kings and Coyotes but in general are still dominating everyone they play. The Panthers are projected to start S. Bobrovsky and more often than not this season that hasn’t been a good thing, they may also be without A. Barkov who’s dealing with a lower body injury. I like to Bruins to get the job done by multiple goals versus a Panthers team that in clearly underperforming expectations this season.

Washington Capitals -1.5 +148

The Red Wings are in DC to face the Capitals tonight. We have two teams going in opposite directions right now. The Wings have lost 4 straight while the Caps have won 6 of their last 7; the Wings are really struggling on the offensive end only scoring 5 goals during their losing streak. While the Caps haven’t scored less than 3 goals in any of the last 6 wins. All teams (good and bad) go through rough stretches during a season and right now the Wings are in one, so I will back the Caps to get the job done by multiple goals tonight.

Arizona Coyotes -1.5 +210

The Habs are in Arizona to being their regular holiday road trip, the Habs have to face this gauntlet every season as they head off before Christmas and return after New Year’s. This year is will be 7 games over 15 days, and history shows that they rarely have success during this stretch. It sucks for the players to have to be away from their family during the holidays and it clearly has an effect on their play. This trip couldn’t have come at a worse time as they Habs haven’t been playing well of losing 6 of 8 and this may just pile it on. The Habs offense has dried up not having scored more than 2 goals in a game over their last 5 and their goaltending is regressing. K. Vejmelka should be in goal tonight and provide the Coyotes with a good opportunity to cover the -1.5.
