The Preds, one of the hottest teams in the league over their last 10 games (8-2) visit the Leafs tonight. The Preds success is easily connected to the play of #1 goalie J. Saros, Saros has only given up more than 2 goals in a game twice over his last 7 starts, and the Preds even found a way to win one of those games when he game up 3 goals. The Leafs for their part are also playing well having won 7 of their last 10 but have not done so in dominating fashion, many of the victories have been 1 goal wins or in OT or SO. I. Samsonov is the projected starter for the Leafs at the moment and he hasn't performed well this season with a 3.57 GAA. I like the Preds to surprise the Leafs tonight.

The Kings are in Long Island to face the Isles and try to extend their road winning streak to start the season to 12 straight games. This is game 3 of their 4 game east coast road trip with a game remaining versus the Rangers tomorrow night. I can see the Kings going with P. Copley in goal tonight to save C. Talbot for the tougher matchup tomorrow and that would benefit the Isles as Copley has been marginal at best this season with a GAA over 3 and a save percentage at .873. The Isles for their part have been lighting up the lamp lately scoring 4+ goals in 5 straight games. All streaks eventually come to an end and I like the Isles to end the Kings road winning streak tonight at a nice price for a home dog.

Ottawa Senators/Detroit Red Wings O6.5 -128

The Sens are in Detroit to face the Red Wings tonight, both teams have been scoring and giving up goals with regularity of late. The Red Wings have played 3 straight overs with the games averaging 9 goals a game while the Sens have played 2 straight over while averaging 8 goals a game. These two teams have a well know history of playing over between each other as the over has hit in 8 of the last 10 matchups. I see tonight being no different as we should see plenty of goals. I like the over here.
