The Rays look to avoid the sweep versus the Red Sox today, the Rays have been lucky to not lose much ground in the Wild Card race as the Jays as also having trouble beating the Angels this weekend. The Rays send C. Kluber to the mound to face N. Pivetta, today will be Kluber 4th start versus the Red Sox, his first start was bad early on in the season but pitched much better in the 2nd & 3rd giving up only 2 earned runs over 12 innings with the Rays winning both. Pivetta made a start versus the Rays in early and was lite up for 7 runs in 5 innings in a loss. I like the Rays to avoid the sweep today with a multiple run victory.

Seattle Mariners -1.5 +147

The Mariners were rolling last night until their bullpen collapsed as a 3-1 lead going into the 8th turned into a 4-3 loss. Today we will see R. Ray face A. Civale in the finale of this 4 game series. Ray has been pitching really well as of late giving up 6 earned runs over 26 innings in his last 4 starts with the Mariners winning 3 of the 4. Civale has been pitching well also lately but has had trouble performing well on the road this season. Plus the home plate umpire for today’s game A. Marquez seems to like home teams as his record is 14-6 to the home team this season. Mariners win by 2 or more here.

Los Angeles Angels/Toronto Blue Jays O9 -108

The Jays look to get back on the winning track when T. Davidson faces R. Stripling in the finale of this 3 game series. The Jays have yet to score a run in this series as they lost 12-0 Friday and 2-0 yesterday. Davidson will be the perfect remedy for that today as he has mediocre at best since joining the Angels rotation. The Jays need to win this game to not lose ground in the wild card race, with less than 40 games left in the season; the Jays cannot afford to be swept by a team like the Angels. I like their bats to wake up today and score several runs and the game to go over the total.
