The Nats host the Reds for a weekend series in DC. C. Cavalli will be making his major league debut tonight after dominating in AAA all season. The Reds counter with M. Minor whom hasn’t pitched well most of the season. The Reds aren’t playing well right now losing 4 straight and are pretty much starting a AAA lineup every night. That is another reason why I like Cavalli to dominate them tonight. Nats win by multiple runs.

Atlanta Braves -1.5 +117

The Braves are in St Louis to face the Cardinals this weekend. The Braves send S. Strider to the mound to face J. Quintana. Getting the Braves at this price considering how well they hit left handing pitching is great. This will also be the 2nd start for both starter versus these teams; Strider dominated the Cards striking out 12 over 6 scoreless innings, while Quintana gave up 4 runs in 5 innings in a 5-3 loss. I expect the Braves to continue their dominance over left handed pitchers in a multiple run victory.

Minnesota Twins -1.5 +167

The Twins and Giants play a 3 game weekend series in Minnesota. Tonight’s game will pit J. Ryan versus A. Wood on the mound; Ryan has pitched really well at home this season with an ERA 2.95 and a WHIP of 1.00, the Twins have won 7 of 11 home starts, 6 of those victories were by multiple runs. The Giants counter with A. Wood who’s pitched well in general this season but also very far from being dominant. Wood has been roughed up in 3 of his last 4 starts and I don’t see that changing tonight versus the Twins. I like the Twins by multiple runs here.
