The Reds visit the Pirates for a four game weekend series, it will be youngster on the mound with N Lodolo and P. Skenes. Lodolo is coming off a start in which the Royals roughed him up for 8 ER in less than 3 innings. However, before that was solid in starts versus the Brewers and Marlins. Skenes continues to pitch well and dominate his opponents, his season ERA is 2.20 and will be battling the Padres J. Merrill for NL Rookie of the Year the rest of the way. Both Lodolo and Skenes have made a previous starts versus their opponent tonight and both dominated, Lodolo was solid over 7 innings in a 2-1 while Skenes pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball in a 4-1. Both will dominate again tonight in a game that goes under the total.

This afternoon is the rubber game of this three game series between the Brewers and Cards, the Brewers could have been going for a sweep today had it not been for a total collapse from their bullpen as the Brewers blew 2 run lead in both th 7th and 9th inning before losing on a walkoff grand slam in the 10th inning. It will be F. Peralta versus M. Mikolas on the mound, neither starter has been in top form of late as Peralta has given up 3 ER or more in 5 of his last 8 starts while Mikolas has done the same in 5 of his last 6 starts. Mikolas has pitched twice versus the Brewers this season and he hasn't pitched well allowing 8 ER over 10 2/3 IP. Peralta has also made two starts with the Cards winning both games. I like the Cards on the runline and over the total here.
