Seattle Mariners +116
The Mariners and Brewers play the rubber game of their 3 game series this afternoon when E. Hancock faces C. Rea on the mound. The Brewers won the opener Friday 6-5 while the Mariners responded yesterday with a 5-3 win. Hancock was serviceable in his first start of the season versus the Guardians pitching 5 innings will giving up 3 ER. Rea was much better (1 ER in 5 IP) in his start but was facing the Mets at a time where they were really struggling offensively. He may find things a lot more difficult today versus the Mariners, as the Mariners have a lot better players in their lineup than the Mets, Rea was not that great for the Brewers last season as he had a 4.75 ERA and his ERA was slightly worse at home at 5.01. I like the Mariners as a dog to win the finale of this series versus the Brewers.
SD Padres +152
The Padres and Giants also play the rubber game of their series this afternoon in SF. The Padres responded with a big 4-0 yesterday after being walked off on Friday. Today it will be M. Waldron versus L. Webb on the mound, neither pitched well in their last start, Waldron couldn't make it past the 4th inning versus the Cards, while Webb was roughed up by the Dodgers. The Giants offense hasn't been great over the last week and it has shown in their record losing 4 of their last 5 games. The Padres are more consistent with their bats than the Giants right now and think they can get to Webb and upset the Giants as a nice sized dog.
Arizona Coyotes -.5 -130
The Coyotes are in San Jose for a game that has zero implications to the playoff picture, the Sharks never had a shot since day 1 of the NHL season and a 16 game losing streak right around the All Star break pretty much ruined any chance the Yotes had for the postseason. The Sharks have only won 2 of their last 10 games and both of those wins were versus the Blues, they've been beaten badly in almost every other game. The Yotes are off an impressive win versus the Golden Knights in which they were down 4-1 after two periods and went off scoring 6 unanswered goals in the 3rd to win 7-4. The Yotes have played better of late and look to be putting in more effort than the Sharks, I like them in regulation here.
