The Cards and Mets play G2 of their series this afternoon, the Cards send their free agent acquisition S. Gray to the mound versus A. Houser. So far so good for Gray in 3 starts for his new team as his ERA sits at 1.04 and he's been dominant in every single one. Houser has been on and off in his 4 starts this season, he's been able to take advantage of weaker offensive teams to pitch well but then has been routed good teams like the Braves and Dodgers. The Cards lineup has struggled a little to start the season but have scored 4 plus runs in 3 of their last 4 games, so they look to be waking up offensively. The Cards have seen Houser plenty over the last couples of season as he pitched for the Brewers in the Central division and have hit him well. I like the Cards here behind Gray on the mound to win this game by multiple and for it to go over the total.   

CHicago Cubs/Boston Red Sox U8.5 +105

The Cubs and Red Sox go at it again today when B. Brown faces J. Winckowski on the mound. B. Brown has been very good for the Cubs in 2 starts this season surrendering only 1 ER over 10 2/3 IP with both games going under the total. Winckoswki has only made 1 start this season versus the Pirates and he pitched well allowing only 1 ER in 3 1/3 IP in a Red Sox win that also stayed under the total. Besides both pitchers pitching well so far this season, two other factors will also play in this game going under the total, D. Rackley is behind the plate calling balls and strikes, the under is 4-1 on the season in the 5 games he's done with an average of 6.8 runs per game. Plus there will be strong wind currents coming in from right field which will negate the possibly of balls flying out of Fenway. I like the under in this game.
