Tampa Rays -1.5 +131 & Tampa Rays/Chicago White Sox U7.5 -110
The Rays visit the White Sox for a weekend series, the Rays will be sending Z. Eflin to the mound to face C. Flexen. After 2 rough outings in his first 3 starts of the season, Z. Eflen has rebounded nicely over his last 2 starts pitching 12 1/3 shutout innings with a sub 1.00 WHIP and 11 K's. Flexen hasn't pitched well at all in his 3 starts this season with a 8.78 ERA in 3 losses for the Sox. The thing is, even had Flexen been almost perfect on mound he still would be saddled with 3 losses as the White Sox have provided him will zero run support in the 3 games. In the 3 games the White Sox scored a total of 1 run in losses of 9-0, 3-0 & 11-1. The White Sox average a miniscule 2 runs per game and the Rays have a mediocre offense but still good enough to beat the White Sox by multiple runs, I like the Rays on the run line here in a low scoring game.
Minnesota Twins -103
The Twins are in Los Angeles to face the Angels this weekend. They will start B. Ober versus the lefty P. Sandoval, after a start to forget to begin the season for Ober (8 ER in 1 1/3 IP) he has rebounded very nicely over his last 3 starts pitching 17 innings allowing only 2 ER. Sandoval has been consistent, but unfortunately for him, he's been consistently bad, he hasn't made it to the 6th inning in any of his 5 starts, has a 7.17 ERA and a WHIP of 1.87. You will have zero success in the majors if you're allowing close to 2 runners on base per inning. Even though the Twins are not tearing the cover off the ball, Sandoval cannot batters out with ease, I like the Twins here on the road.
