Tonight is game 2 of this 4 game series between these 2 teams. Rockies starter K. Freeland deserved a better fate as defensive miscues by his team resulted in 3 unearned runs in an eventual 9-2 loss. Tonight I expect a lower scoring game as we have decent pitchers going for both clubs. Z. Eflin is a much better pitcher at home than on the road and when G. Marquez is one he can be a very dominant pitcher. We also have an umpire in S.Scheurwater that 2-0 to the under in games this season with pitchers much worse than Eflin & Marquez going. I like the under here.

Houston Astros -1.5 +142

The Astros are in Arlington for game 2 of this 4 game series with the Rangers. If not for a 3 run double in the bottom of the 8th for the Rangers we would have hit the under for the game last night, but this is what baseball is all about, a bad pitch here, a lucky hit there and a win turns into a push or a loss. I like the Astros to even the series tonight, their starter J. Odorizzi is not as bad as his ERA reflects, he pitched well versus the Rangers last season as the Astros won both his starts versus them. Texas’s starter T. Hearn is a gas can waiting to be lite up every start and I expect the Astros bats to get to him early and often tonight.

San Jose Sharks -1.5 +178

The Sharks host the Ducks in their last home game of the season. The Sharks have won 3 of 4 and as I mentioned this past weekend when they played the Blackhawks their young players are playing with maximum effort to try and earn themselves a spot on the roster next season. The Ducks on the other hand are just going through the motions; R.Getzlaf played his final home game of his career on the weekend versus St Louis in a 6-3 loss and I expect the Ducks to be flat in their last 2 games of the season. I will back the Sharks here as they’ve shown that they’re still trying.
