The Braves look to avoid being swept by the Astros this afternoon when C. Javier faces M. Fried on the mound. The Braves haven't played poorly in the first two games, just some unfortunate moments have caused them to be on the short end of the stick. Fried has been solid in two starts so far this season, Javier has pitched well in his 3 home starts but was roughed up in his lone road start versus the Pirates. I like Fried to pitch well today and the Braves to salvage a game in this series and avoid the sweep.

Boston Bruins -151

The Bruins faced their first real test of adversity of the season in Game 3 versus the Panthers and passed it with flying colors in a 4-2 victory. This afternoon is where they put a strangle hold on this series as I like them to win and take a 3-1 series lead. Let’s face it, the Panthers are not as good a team as they were last season and they have a $6M goalie (Bobrovsky) riding the pine in the playoffs as they have no confidence in him. The Panthers are trying to beat the best team in the NHL with an AHL goalie in A. Lyon. Give me the Bruins here.

San Diego Padres/Arizona Diamondbacks U9 -106

The Padres and Dbacks play game 4 of their 4 game series this afternoon, the Padres have taken the 2 of the first 3 games. F. Tatis hit his first homerun of the season in only his second game back in a 5-3 Padres win last night. Today it will be Y. Darvish versus D. Jameson on the mound, the Padres offense has literally let down Darvish over his last 2 starts scoring 0 runs for him. D. Jameson has pitched relatively well through 2 starts albeit not going deep into games. M. Muchlinski is behind the plate calling balls and strikes and the under has hit 3 straight times now with no game scoring more than 8 runs. I like the under in the finale of this series.
