The Pirates look to salvage a game in their series with the Mets this afternoon when B. Falter takes on L. Severino, the Mets have won the first 2 games by scores of 6-3 and 3-1. After a rough start to start the season, Falter has really rebounded well in his last 2 starts allowing only 1 ER over 11 innings leading the Pirates to victory in both games. Severino has been pitching better a well since his opening day start, however, the Mets have failed to provide him with enough runs to win his starts as the Mets have lost 2 of his 3 starts. With it being getaway day, and the Mets headed to the west coast expect them to sit some starters which will really will weaken their lineup, I like the Pirates to win this game.  

Detroit Tigers -1.5 +153

The Rangers and Tigers play the rubber game of their three game series this afternoon, when D. Dunning faces T. Skubal on the mound. The Rangers won the opener 1-0 Monday while the Tigers rebounded with a 4-2 yesterday. D. Dunning has been consistent through 3 starts, but it hasn't been a good consistent he's given 3 ER in every start while never reaching the 7th inning. His ERA is 4.50 and that won't get it done versus Skubal who's been very good this season. Skubal has a 2.08 ERA with over a strikeout an inning and the Tigers have won all 3 of his starts this season. With Skubal pitching so well and the Rangers not really hitting the ball well right now (3 runs total in the series), I like the Tigers to take this game on the run line.

NY Yankees +102

The Yanks are another team looking to salvage a game in their 3 games series versus the Blue Jays this afternoon. The Yanks bats have been quiet in Toronto to start the week with only 5 runs scored over the first 2 games. It will be former Blue Jay M. Stroman on the mound versus K. Gausman, Stroman will been making his 2nd start of the season versus the Jays as he pitched 6 shutout on April 5th versus them. Gausman has really been bad this season in 3 starts with a 11.58 ERA and never getting out of the 4th inning. His worst start was versus the Yanks on April 6 when he gave up 5 ER in 1 2/3 IP in a 9-8 loss. Stroman will be amped up to pitch well versus his former club and with Gausman struggling to pitch well, I like the Yanks to get a game in this series.
