In this column, I’ll go through the BEST BET I’m seeing in the league today; this can be in a spread, a moneyline, an Over/Under, or a player prop.If you have any questions, hit me up in the Discord, linked below, and be sure to add a PRO SUBSCRIPTION to your daily routine to maximize your best bets, no matter the sport.
OVERALL RECORD: 123-75-3, +38.08uRECAP: I’d like to blame our NBA of the Day loss on overtime, but it was dead well before that - yet, we go 1-1 on the day in the NBA streets. We had two totals that we looked at; the Kings/Bucks under was crazy high, which we lost, and then we won a SWEAT as we had the Suns/Blazers over. That hit in the final minute of the game, as it looked like it was going to be a winner all night long. Let’s stay hot today!
January 15, 2024This pick plays on a line that has been moving literally all night and day, and I think that we’ve found a good place to land, now that we’re getting more money on the game. It’ll be highly bet on, and could feature some key players not playing - which means that there’s room for volatility here. But our money handles and Sharp AI loves the play, so we’re going to hammer it.
The trends aren’t necessarily on the side of the Boston Celtics today, as they head to Toronto to take on the resurgent Raptors in Canada this evening. Overall, the Boston Celtics have been really good against the spread this year, but their kryptonite has been on the road - they only hit ATS when they’re at home, essentially. We’re going to go against that trend today.
The Celtics will probably be missing Jaylen Brown, and we saw the line movement affected by that - the spread went from -7.5 to -6.5, and is the lowest it’s been all day. When we look at our Sharp AI, this game should be priced at right around Celtics -7, and that’s exactly where we’re getting it.
Sharp App Money Handles have been looking really good today too, with 35% of the bets placed on the Celtics, while the public is on Toronto. The money, though, speaks differently, as we have a crazy 73% on the side of the away team, leaving a difference of 38% on the handles chart. These charts can only be found inside the Sharp App, and are updated frequently throughout the day.
Toronto, though, hasn’t been an ATS machine at home, either. They’re a measly 9-9 ATS this season when at home, and have shown that they can’t win big on their home court. Despite Toronto’s recent trade, they’re 4-6 straight up in their last ten, but have improved ATS. That trend cannot last forever.
The Celtics are among the top scoring teams away from home, and the Raptors struggle to defend their home court, sitting at 14th in the league in away scoring. The thing that sets me over the edge in this game, though, is Toronto’s home offense, which scores at the 6th-worst rate in the league. Boston’s defense? Ranks 11th in the league on their opponent’s home court.
In games that they’re favored, the Celtics are putting up 122 points per game. In games where they’re the dogs, the Raptors are putting up 114 points per game. That’s a difference of 8, and a cover for us. Hammer the C’s away from home, and let’s get back in the win column here. PICK: Boston Celtics -6.5
