In this column, I’ll go through the BEST BET I’m seeing in the league today; this can be in a spread, a moneyline, an Over/Under, or a player prop. I’ll explain my reasoning below, and even add in a couple of picks I also like for today.

OVERALL RECORD: 05-04-00, +0.58u
RECAP: Friday was an up-and-down day, as we go 1-2 in the NBA on some games that simply were never destined to go our way. The Pacers went 3-30 from 3-Point Land and Tyrese Haliburton had literally zero points, as we finished about six points off of the total. New Orleans got off to a sad start and never rebounded, either. We did hit on the total in LA, though. On to today!

We’re going back to a familiar friend in this early season clash as we’re going back to two titans in the West, and hammering a total that the Sharps are all over.
The Suns and Lakers just played each other, and there’s no one on the planet that’s been better this season than Anthony Davis. He’s my leading frontrunner for MVP, and he’s been playing out of his mind as of late, on both sides of the ball. That being said, he’s facing a Suns team with no interior presence, and I anticipate another huge game from him.
But that’s not all. The Suns have been scoring well this season, hitting 116, 116, and 114 points in each of their first three games of the season, all against teams that have decent defenses this season statistically. Kevin Durant is on another level, putting up 31 points in his last matchup against the Mavericks, and are on a days’ rest. He should be able to cook once again, especially against a Lakers team that has had its challenges defensively this season, giving up 103, 116, and 127 points in total this season. Want to know who killed them into allowing 127 points last time out? Demar Derozen, who is a Kevin Durant-lite.
This Suns team has all of the components of the Kings, and should be able to keep up the scoring. While Sharp AI has this total as way lower than we’re getting it, I still like the over to hit on the back of the Sharps, and the Sharp Report. We have two sharps on this over, and the line movement has shown that it’s trending in this direction as well, getting as high as 228.5 points on the total, after it started at 226. That’s two and a half points of movement, which on a total in the NBA, can be very significant.
We’ve even seen the sharps struggle in this early season to find significant profit, which makes me even more excited to get it going. We’re going to tail the sharps, because at the end of the day, they’re up 108 units on the year. They’ll finish in the green again this year in the NBA, and tonight will be one of those plays. Take the over.
PICK: Los Angeles / Phoenix over 227.5
