NBA Bet of the Day | December 26, 2023

RECAP: While we lost our NBA bet of the day, I hit a bet at halftime of the Knicks/Bucks game, which was sweat-free on FanDuel. It happened to hit, and it was a myriad of player props between Lillard, Giannis, Randle, and Brunson - and they all hit, along with Knicks -5.5. It was one of the crazier parlays I’ve ever hit, and we hit it on a whim for a profit of 4.31 units on the day.

Hopefully your stockings are stuffed and you’re not feeling too deprived of cash on this day-after-Christmas, but if you are, let’s look to hit a bet or two today, while every bet is FREE in the Sharp App for the next day. 

We’re actually hitting a bet today that somewhat goes against what I’ve been seeing for the NBA in totals, but anomalies are bound to happen. Portland and Sacramento play way later tonight in a clash between two West-Coast teams that are in opposite directions. Even though Portland is 1-9 over their last ten games, they match up really, really well with this Kings team - and if you need further proof, just look at their last matchup in November, where these two teams took it to overtime to try and win the game. In fact, in the last ten matchups between these teams, the over is 7-3 - hitting at a 70% clip. 

The Portland Trailblazers have the worst home defense in the league, ranked 30th overall in FG percentage near-worst in first-half scoring allowed. The thing that they’re great at at home though, is steals - which makes for transition offense, which means points, points points. The Kings are an excellent 3-point shooting team, ranking sixth on the road in 3PM. And while the Blazers are horrendous at shooting at home, over their last five, they’re much improved as a shooting team. 

We’ve seen these percentages on our money handles fluctuate a lot into the early morning, and I anticipate this line continuing to rise as the day goes on. As of writing this, we’re seeing the bets split exactly 50/50 when it comes to the total in this game, but the over winning out in the money percentages at 74% - that’s a difference of 24%. As well, our Sharp AI has this game right at 236, making it as must-play, and the line movement agrees. This line has been going up and down all day, but with the public finally awake, we’re going to see that number continue to climb. 

Let’s hammer the over in this game that should be tighter than people anticipate, and the over should hit, even though the total is set sky-high. I believe in these two teams to score in abundance tonight.
