In this column, I’ll go through the BEST BET I’m seeing in the league today; this can be in a spread, a moneyline, an Over/Under, or a player prop.

OVERALL RECORD: 15-13, +1.40u
RECAP:
What a spooky sight! We went 3-4 yesterday, and our season has started off just, plainly, on the wrong foot. Yesterday’s Pacers play was the right move, until they decided to collapse in the fourth quarter defensively and allow the Bulls to score 31 points. We then went 2-1 on the rest of our straight up plays, and 1-2 in player props. Let’s see what this Halloween has in store for us – hopefully not too spooky.

PICK: Los Angeles Clippers -6.5
The bottom line is that James Harden will be in attendance, and the Magic’s ATS trend has to end at some point - tonight’s that point. Let’s dive in.

The Clippers are taking on the Magic at home tonight in a battle between the surprising Magic and the Clippers. The Magic enter this game 2-1 and 3-0 against the spread, while the Clippers are 2-1 in both of those categories. Statistically, to begin the season, the Magic have been the most dominant defensive team in the league when it comes to FG% and rebounding. Yet, the number two team on OFFENSE in that category are these seasoned Clippers, who know how to score, and are pretty cohesive as a team as it is on offense. They dominated the Spurs in their last game, and to open the season, took care of the Blazers as well - their only loss was a close one to the Jazz at the No Name Saloon.

This line is only going to go up as well, I predict; there’s 6.5 right now at FD for -110, but other books are already climbing, and for good reason: according to our money handles tracker as part of Sharp App Pro (link below), the Clips have only 33% of the current bets on them, but hold 91% of the money. That screams line movement to me, as the books need to find a way to even out that line so that they don’t lose that much money in case the Clippers dominate.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are healthy, and Westbrook looks like a playmaker again; I like the Clippers a lot as a team this season, even with the addition of Harden, which I truthfully think only makes them better, once he gets in shape. I like the look of the Magic too, but every young team is going to have its ups and downs, and this is a down game for them, as they don’t have the necessary defensive wing depth to consistently stop our forwards in this game.

Let’s take the Clippers and the points tonight, as I’ll probably be asleep by the time this one wraps up.
