OVERALL RECORD: 19-15, +2.97u
RECAP:
We had our first big night in a while, where we saw four of our picks hit, and two did not. We got back in the saddle at NBA of the Day, with the Clippers absolutely barraging the Magic in the second half - and leading to our hit. We also hit on two other straight plays, and went 1-1 in props, with Tre Jones getting his points, and Mobley missing his double-double by four points. It was a good day overall, let’s continue it today!

PICK: Indiana Pacers +11.5
Eleven points is a lot of points, and this is a scrappy Indiana team that I think can hang with the big dogs, even on an off night - and they have the inside defensive presence to knock some of the Celtics’ players off of their rhythm.

This is led by the matchup of Tyrese Haliburton and Jrue Holiday, who is going to try and clamp up one of the best playmakers in the league on the side of the Pacers. Haliburton has made huge strides throughout his first few games of the season, and he’s been efficient in getting the ball down low to Myles Turner, who can be a dominant offensive force.

These teams played three times last season, with two out of the three of them within just a couple of points, and Indiana had given up by the time they had their third game. Indiana has covered in four out of their last five matchups as a squad, and they’ve truly got their work cut out for them; this Celtics offense is legit. The Pacers have incredible perimeter defense, and the Celtics shoot a lot from deep, so there’s evidence that this could be a major clamps situation; the Pacers are number one and number two in the league in defending the three in a number of categories.

Plus, this Pacers offense is more potent than most think. So far this season, they have the best free throw percentage in the league, they dominate the 3-point line, and they throw up a LOT of shots. They’re the 8th-best offensive rebounding team in the league, and they hardly turn the ball over - they’re also number one in assists, too.

I think that the Celtics are a top four team in the league, but the Pacers aren’t that far off of being in contention within the playoffs. Eleven points is quite a bit, even to our Sharp App AI, which squares this game away at -8. As well, there’s quite a bit of money on the Celtics, which I love to fade. Let’s take the eleven-point-dogs and keep this game close tonight.
