Anthony P's NBA Model January 4, 2023

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB, NFL, and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NBA BETTING MODEL FOR JAN 4, 2023

It's a busy night in the NBA and we have 4 spots that the model is pointing us to.

It's a tough call in Sacramento. They played a tough game last night and had to travel overnight and play on no rest. Atlanta lost another tough game in Golden State. They had the game and blew it..... another one. Young and Murray had some huge minutes and that game I am not sure how this will affect their playing time tonight. Atlanta is a top contrarian play tonight.

Minnesota is a favorite as per the model however the line moved the other and opened about 22% EV for tonight's clash with Portland. Both teams have looked like shit as of late but Portland won 2 of their last 3. Minnesota finally won a game after losing 6 straight and I have no lean on this game. The book will be cheering for Portland since 75% of the handle is on Minnesota.

We also have 2 totals to quickly review. I don't like playing the under when Charlotte is on the court. In LA you have an extremely high-paced team vs an extremely slow-paced team. The under is 11-4 in the last 15 meetings in LA and based on the line it is safe to say that James is out. The total moved from 227 to 229 without James that scored over 40 in back-to-back points... I like the under.
