Anthony P's NBA Model January 31, 2023

We will add new sports and models as we build the app and make it more robust. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB, NFL, and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NBA BETTING MODEL FOR JAN 31, 2023

Everyone is hating the NBA right now! The favorites went 7-1 last night but only 5-3 ATS. We had the 76ers and Mavs. The road teams smashed the ATS going 6-2.

UPDATE:

Dear NBA, why are you such an asshole to us?? The best model plays went 1-2 and I went 0-2. I had the 76ers which were in full control in the first half just to lose outright. I had the Mavs who never had control until the 4th quarter however didn't have enough to cover. The favs went 5-3 ATS and I had 2 of the 3 losses as picks.

The model loves the Bulls tonight. They opened a 2.5 pt dog and the line moved to +3. The Bulls are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and have been playing some great basketball In the last 20 games. When they play badly it's because I have a bet on them! George and Leonard are back tonight and this team is completely different when both are playing. For the Bulls, the issue will be how they will handle and match up to George and Leonard. This is a terrible defensive match-up for the Bulls and I can't trust them right now.
