China's Z. Zhang faces France's G. Monfils in the 2nd round of the Qatar (Doha) Open this morning. At 37 years old Monfils has a 3-4 record this season and is in the the twilight of his career, he hasn't play more than 35 matches in a season since 2019. Many of the tournaments he's played in since then is because he's received Wild Card spots, local players will receive these for tournaments in their home country. Zhang is 10 years younger than Monfils and has played well this season even though his record is 5-5, his losses have been to high ranked players, to mention a few K. Khachanov (#17), U. Humbert (#18), H. Hurkacz (#8) and N. Djokovic (#1). Zhang will present several issues for Monfils this morning and believe he will win this match and really like the +133.
