Anthony P's NHL Model January 5, 2023

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR JAN 5, 2023

The model is very tight with the book's projections and that is a good thing. We have one game that stands out and it's the Golden Knights playing at home against the Pens. Pittsburgh is a team I like to fade when cold and they lost 5 straight and 6 of their last 7. In that stretch, they scored on average 2.29 GF/G and allowed over 3.50 GA/G. Vegas is 4-2-1 in their last 7 and the favorite is 8-1 last 9 meetings. Pens will be without Letang and Jarry and Vegas might be getting back Eichel and Marchessautl. If they do suit up this line will move fast.

We have no value tonight and I am not sure if I will bet on any of these games yet.
