Anthony P's NHL Model January 21, 2023

We will add new sports and models as we continue to build the app and make it more robust. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR JAN 21, 2023

I went from having no interest in the Pens game to dropping 3 dimes on them. It made it easier when Jarry and Petry were confirmed. The markets didn't react and we got a solid number.

The model is ready for Saturday. It's tight AF.

Update 130pm

We still have no value. The Leafs jumped about 30 pts but that happened when Caufield announced that he will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

My focus will turn to the sharp report. I like Washington tonight and so do the sharps. Vegas hasn't been playing well, the coach just called out Eichel and they just lost Mark Store.

We have a lot of tired teams tonight and we might be able to find some good spots if we put together some data points. For example, the Lighting will be playing a 3rd road game in 4 nights while the Flames are rested.

A pro member reached out to me this morning asking for advice on the Avs. He found the line was soft and he thought it was a good bet. After explaining to him that the Avs are playing on a road b2b, with no rest, and 3rd game on the 4 night we quickly realized it wasn't a good spot for Colorado. If Makar sits and the Seattle can get back Schults and Schwartz the Kraken can become a solid pick.

We have 7 teams that are playing a first half of a b2b today therefore it can get tricky with the goalies.
