Anthony P's NHL Model January 15, 2023

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR JAN 15, 2023

Our best value plays last night was the over between the Panthers and Canucks. The game finished 4-3 and we hit the over.

There was 39 SCF (scoring chances for) between both teams and 13 HDCF (high danger chance for) This game should have ended 8-5 instead of 4-3. Just to give you guys an idea, it's 8-3 for the Kraken, and both teams combined for 26 SCF.

Anyway, not sure why I need to justify a winning pick but I wanted to share with you guys that the final score doesn't really represent what the outcome should have been.

We have no value in NHL tomorrow. I'll be looking at the game in the morning but I doubt anything will change. We will have 3 huge favs tomorrow with the Rangers, Canes, and Jets and I won't be touching them. Maybe a few props?
