Anthony P's NHL Model January 13, 2023

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR JAN 13, 2023

Last night we had a lean on Detroit which I made it an official play close to puck drop and the Wings won 4-1.

We don't have much value today. I will look into the Jets and the rest of the games before 2 pm today.

The Pens are playing in Carolina tomorrow therefore they will start Dustin Tokarski against the Jets tonight. I got excited when I saw that because the value on the Jets now makes a shit ton of sense. The excitement didn't last too long when I read that David Rittich is likely to start for the Jets and it makes sense since they played last night in Buffalo. He hasn't been bad but he's no Hellebuyck. The Jets are coming into Pittsburgh on fire winning 6 of their last 7 games and would be facing an offense that has slowed down in their last 7 only scoring an average of 2.71 GF/G. The Pens are 28-5 in their last 33 home games against Winnipeg... we need Hells to be between the pipe if we will back the Jets tonight but that won't happen.
