Anthony P's NHL Model December 8, 2022

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR DEC 8, 2022

Sorry about yesterday. It was a spectacular day filled of unexcepted shit and it was a rough one.

Back to normal today! The model is finding value in the Sens and Kings tonight. They are both on the road and have very difficult matchups. It's been crazy in the NHL this year and dogs have been barking on a regular basis. We are seeing crazy comebacks and crazy scores! Two nights ago dogs went 7-2. Yesterday favorites went 6-1 and road teams won 5 of the 7 games.

The Ottawa game is risky since we don't know who will be in nets. Even though Talbot got taken out last game against LA, the current projection is with him suiting up and not Forsberg. Dallas has a really hard road trip coming up and they might be thinking about that also.

The Leafs are on fire and Marner's point streak is now at 20 games! The Kings haven't been playing good hockey as of late and the line on the Leafs is a little inflated. Samsonov should be expected to be between the pipes and he hasn't played in over a week. This game should be closed then we think. They are neck to neck in CF% and both xGA and xGF. The Kings will need a big game from Quick and Danault's line will need to shut down Matthew's line.

I have added the IA projections on the far right of the model sheet. The AI also likes the Kings and the Sens. It's also finding value in the Jets and the Redwings.
