Anthony P's NHL Model December 21, 2022

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR DEC 21, 2022

Not much that I like for now based on the numbers. Let's not forget that the NHL will go on break soon and we tend to see some crazy things leading up to that. Looking at the AI numbers, it makes a lot of sense to think outside of the box. The NHL will be on break from December 24th to 26th.

I spoke about the Redwings in the overnight grind. Go take a quick look. The AI has Detroit at -177 which is fucking ridiculous however it's aligned with my thinking.

If you want to get even crazier, the AI supports the Blackhawks. They are due for a win and Nashville has been inconsistent and just won a big one against the Oilers. The Preds are not great on the road while Chicago hasn't won a game since Dec 3rd.

We might see a total of 7 in Dallas tonight. Money keeps on coming in but the books haven't really reacted yet. I expect lots of goals tonight however my model has this game at 6.66 and showing no value. I like the Stars at home tonight. Especially the way the Oilers defense is playing as of late. The Stars have all the star power to expose the Oilers defense. The AI disagrees and has the Oilers at -104. Why? No idea.... the Oilers are 11-34-1 in the last 46 meetings in Dallas and lost 3 of the last 4 games allowing Dallas on average 4 GF/G. Dallas also has a huge edge in nets and if Edmonton wants a chance to win they will need to go with Skinner. If Campbell is confirmed for whatever reason, ill drop a couple of dimes on Dallas. Lastly, Dallas is 15-4-2-1 on a one-day rest. This team is well-coached and well-prepared. My model is not showing value on this game but everything points to Dallas tonight.
