Anthony P's NHL Model December 19, 2022

As we continue to build the app and make it more robust, we will add new sports and models. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and if the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR DEC 19, 2022

There is a ton of value on the board today and it's a little ridiculous the way the numbers came out today.

Favorites went 5-0 last night and 4 of 5 games won on the puck line also.

I am not crazy about this slate and the best game on the board is the Bruins and Panthers. Florida looked great in Jersey (or was it Jersey that looked like shit?) The Panthers have been very inconsistent this season and hard to bet on.

The AI found value in 4 games while my model agrees on only 1 game.

The Sabres are on a 3-game winning streak thanks to their offense scoring on average 5 GF/G during that period and will have the difficult task to face the 6th-best xGA/60 team this season. Vegas PK is ranked at the bottom of the league and will have the tough task to stop the Sabres near leading PP with a success rate of 30%. The golden Knights are 8-8 at home while 14-2-1 on the road creating some really weird home and away splits. I like and understand the Sabres value and this game should be closer than we think just like the Ottawa game yesterday. Both team's powerplay has been on fire scoring close to 2 PP goals per game in the last 3-4 games. Mark Stone might be out tonight and this Vegas team is already decimated with injuries. I support the value on Buffalo!!
