Line shopping is the only edge in betting that requires no model, no angle, and no opinion. It is pure execution, it is available to everyone, and most people do it badly because they do it slowly. This walkthrough builds a three-screen routine that takes a flagged opportunity to a confirmed, logged position in well under a minute — and shows exactly what that speed is worth in EV.
What you'll need
- Funded accounts at a minimum of four sportsbooks, ideally six to eight, spread across pricing philosophies (see [#3 — Setting up your sportsbook stack — which books for which plays])
- Real-Time Odds, filtered to only the books you actually hold accounts at
- A bet log open and ready, so the price you took and the price at close both get recorded without a hunt later
- A second monitor, or a phone propped next to a laptop — the routine assumes two visible surfaces, not tab-switching
- Roughly 20 minutes to set the layout up once
